My name is Whyan Chen. I am a dancer, born and raised in Taiwan with over 10 years of dance experience. I am trained in various foundation styles such as contemporary, hip-hop, dancehall and jazz.
In November 2019, I moved to Sydney, Australia, where I have been teaching performance choreography specializing in street jazz and commercial dance. Prior to moving to Sydney, I spent 7 years in China (both Beijing and Shanghai) where I worked as a dance teacher, choreographer and performer. I also took professional dance training at Movement Lifestyle in Los Angeles.
My passion for choreographing dance pieces and sharing my dance experiences with students and audiences around the world has brought me from Asia to Australia. As has the desire to discover other talented dancers around the world.
